May is Jewish American Heritage Month! Now in its tenth year, Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM) is an opportunity to highlight the contributions of Jewish individuals and communities. This year, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs commemorates JAHM by promoting the theme “Celebrating New Americans.” We invite you to join us by lifting up the voices and celebrating the accomplishments of New Americans, from today and from generations past.
One of JCPA’s initiatives for JAHM is the New Americans Story Project, where we are highlighting stories of New Americans. You can join us by contributing your, your family’s, or your community’s story. This story could be a brief, one-sentence description, or a longer anecdote. It could be about you, your parents, or a distant relative. It might also be the story of a community member, or someone your organization assisted.
